This week I decided to try something different and do an entire mix highlighting one of my favourite artists of all time, Quantic. If you've never heard of Quantic (aka Will Holland), then you're in for a treat. Quantic is a diverse and ridiculously talented producer, remixer, dj and multi-instrumentalist. His music carries the echos and influences of the music played in the barrios of Brazil, the haciendas of Mexico, the streets of New York, the clubs of Cuba and the dance floors of the UK. He produces music under the Quantic moniker, as well as with his live stage bands, The Quantic Soul Orchestra and his Combo Bárbaro.

Here you'll find tracks from all these projects, featuring collaborations with Alice Russell, Greyboy, Sharon Jones, Spanky Wilson, french rapper Trinidad, and remixes of Romanowski and NAS. And this "mini" mix ain't so mini: you're getting 70 mins of funk, soul, salsa, bossa nova and hip hop! :)

(Funny, I totally intended this to be a simple mix so I wouldn't have to spend as much time on it, but I love Quantic's music so much, this ended up being the *longest* mix yet.)

This also marks the beginning of my last week of fundraising, for both Univox and Movember.

Univox has been a great experience, and I've enjoyed it immensely, working with other musicians and singers to make beautiful music together. I've had the privilege of being involved with some amazing performances, such as Nuite Blanche just a few weeks ago, competing in the Laval International Choir Competition this past summer, and rapping (badly) for the crowd at Sneaky Dee's.
