Free Friday Mix 2

Man, I was actually wondering whether or not I was going to pull this off, but here we are, it's friday, 2:30am, and I'm in the middle of uploading another free mix all up this place!

The theme in my life for the past few days seems to be "worries". For whatever reason, I've had a few conversations with friends involving us sharing our problems with each other. We seem to be feeling the weight of life's grind more than usual, or worse, worrying unreasonably and obsessively about things that may never happen.

So here's my "worry free" mix, featuring a number of just-released tracks (like, just 4 days ago) from the likes of Little Boots, Deadmau5, Goose Flesh, NAPT, Wolfgang Gartner and one or two gems from DJ Dan, Chris Ortega/Thomas Gold and...Chuck D? 45 mins of big club tunes. It's less about chasing the blues away and more about kicking their @$$. I hope you enjoy it!

Grab it: http://drop.io/fridayfreemix2

If you missed last week's journey through trip hop, you can still get it here, but for a limited time only:

Elsewhere, I'm currently involved in two different fundraisers.

One I mentioned last email, raising funds for the young adult choir I'm in, Univox. We're in our 5th season as a choir, and we’re having a "$5 Race" competition between all the members to see who can raise the most money. We're raising funds to help out with our various activities this year, including a February concert w/ full orchestra, tours, our composer-in-residence program and hopefully a CD. Univox has been doing a lot for the arts in Toronto, especially for young people (we have about 60 members between the ages of 22 and 30-something or older), and your support will help us continue to show that choir music is pretty cool. :)

If you guys want to donate $5 (or more of course! Donations over $20 are tax deductible), you can do so by going directly to the donation form online here:

http://www.canadahelps.org/CharityProfilePage.aspx?CharityID=d95560

Note: When you make the donation online, there’s a field you can fill in for a message. Make sure you say you're sponsoring me in that little message box, and/or say it’s for choir member #24.

You can read more about Univox's activities this year on the main site: http://univox.rigent.com/

(Time is running out on this one, there's only a couple of weeks left to donate, so act soon!)

The *other* fundraiser I'm doing is called "Movember". It's a fundraiser for prostate cancer research where guys grow moustaches for the month formerly known as November. Nothing's more manly than a ridiculous moustache, and taking care of yourself should be likewise. By sprouting some handle bars we're hoping to raise awareness about men's health. You can donate online at my "Mo Space":

Use the "Donate to me" link in the top left. Same thing, donations over $20 are tax deductible.

I'll be posting pics of my moustache progress through out the month, from ridiculously skint to just plain ridiculous. :)

If you feel like either of these are worthy foundations, I'd appreciate your support. Thanks!
